Integrated insect netting
Looking for sustainable insect protection for your new greenhouse? Dutch Netting Systems’ integrated insect netting system provides protection from day one, without requiring major modifications later. A smart investment for modern and environmentally conscious greenhouse horticulture.
Sustainable insect protection for new greenhouses
Our integrated insect netting system is specially developed for maximum functionality and durability within modern greenhouse structures. By integrating the system directly during construction, you avoid additional assembly work later and save on labor and materials. You immediately benefit from optimal insect protection, aligned with the latest requirements for sustainable cultivation.
The system uses UV-stabilized polyester slats that are precisely assembled on top of each other. This ensures the slats close perfectly when the ventilation window closes, preventing unwanted openings. Combined with specially developed EPDM rubbers, it creates a reliable seal that effectively keeps harmful insects out and beneficial insects in.
Suitable for any ventilation window with extruded profiles prepared for insect netting application, this system forms an integral part of the greenhouse structure. You’re choosing a low-maintenance, future-proof solution that reduces dependency on chemical agents, increases yield, and promotes a stable greenhouse climate.
Venlo Greenhouse
The Venlo greenhouse is a widely used greenhouse type in horticulture thanks to its modular construction, enabling quick building, easy expansion, and competitive pricing. This design works well with automation and mechanization within the greenhouse.
Standard bay widths vary from 3.2 to 4.8 meters, but by combining multiple bays per truss, larger spans are possible, up to 12.8 meters or more. This makes the Venlo greenhouse suitable for diverse cultivation needs.
Another advantage is the extra space below the screen. Since screen installations are often close to the gutter, sufficient height remains for a good working climate. With a gutter height of 6.0 to 7.0 meters, the Venlo greenhouse offers a spacious and well-controllable growing climate.
Wide-span Greenhouse
The wide-span greenhouse is similar in construction to the Venlo greenhouse but distinguishes itself with a larger bay width from 9.6 or 12.8 meters. This makes it possible to build the greenhouse even wider and more spacious.
Thanks to this extra width, more greenhouse volume is created. At the same gutter height, the ridge height of a wide-span greenhouse is higher than that of a Venlo greenhouse, ensuring a more stable greenhouse climate and better growing conditions. The common gutter height ranges between 5.0 and 6.0 meters.
Due to the larger volume and improved air circulation, the wide-span greenhouse is favorable for climate control and energy savings. This makes this greenhouse type an attractive choice for growers who want to combine space and efficiency.
Additional Information
Construction and Materials
The system consists of an aluminum frame with UV-stabilized, dimensionally stable netting made of polyester thread. This netting is available in various mesh sizes (0.4 × 0.45 mm / 0.4 × 0.7 mm / 0.6 × 0.6 mm / 0.8 × 0.8 mm / 1 × 1.5 mm), or a custom mesh size within this range.
Guide System
Aluminum guide pins are used for guidance. The mesh is firmly attached to the guide using mesh hooks. The guidance system ensures that the slats are stacked precisely on top of each other. This system prevents the insect screen from falling in or out.
Guide pins are placed at each intermediate rod and connected at the ridge to prevent height differences. Both guides are positioned alternately on the slats, ensuring a very large surface area falls within the reach of the guide pins.
The guidance system is made of aluminum tubing and features lightweight, strong, flexible, and easy-to-mount properties.
Safety and Stability
At the front, an aluminum guide rail ensures that the slats cannot fall inward or outward, creating a stable unit, even under wind pressure or varying climate conditions.
Installation
The specially developed clamp bracket, fitting on the glazing bar, enables quick and efficient system installation. This saves time on site and minimizes failure costs.
This technically sophisticated system guarantees reliable insect protection without compromising ventilation or light transmission, making it a future-oriented solution for professional greenhouse horticulture.
